New North Lincolnshire 24/7 telephone support service launched
A new 24/7 mental health and wellbeing telephone support service has been launched in North Lincolnshire, offering professional support to people affected by Covid-19.
A joint venture between the local authority and local NHS mental health services providers RDASH and NAViGO, the confidential helpline offers support to all ages - from children to adults and older adults - across the borough.
The telephone support service can be accessed by anyone from individuals already in receipt of mental health services to people struggling with their wellbeing and mental health needs.
RDASH Interim Care Group Director Wendy Fisher said: “We have called on the expertise of our NAViGO colleagues to help bolster the services we provide for local people who need mental health and well-being advice and support”
Mental health problems will be affecting more people, which is why it is so important that we work together to provide support to NHS staff, colleagues, key workers and the wider community while complementing the valuable work that RDASH already do.
These challenging times have compounded our wellbeing concerns and at times compromised our daily living and ability to make time to self-care.
Operated by trained employees, the service offers support and guidance for a range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts and self-harm, minimising the need for people to go to GP surgeries or hospital.
The 24/7 telephone support service can be accessed by telephoning 08081 968442.
