New Freephone Number for Patients to book Non Emergency Patient Transport

In response to public feedback, a new free phone telephone number has been put in place with immediate effect and this is the number patients should call to book patient transport in North and North East Lincolnshire 0808 164 3030.

Thames Ambulance has a dedicated freephone booking number for providers only which is 0808 164 3031

North and North East Lincolnshire CCGs would like to remind people that the service is available only to eligible patients. You can find out more about eligibility for patient transport by visiting www.northlincolnshireccg.nhs.uk/your-health/pts.

Patients are advised to book transport no earlier than two weeks before their appointment. This reduces the likelihood of the booking needing to be cancelled due to a change in the clinic appointment. Whilst we understand patients want to be organised, booking earlier does not mean patients are more likely to be able to secure transport. All patients eligible for transport will receive transport.

Patients are also reminded to have their NHS number and GP practice details when ringing the Thames Ambulance call centre.
