Carers

Last year the Council launched an All Age Carers Strategy which set out our approach to supporting carers locally. Now we want to continue the conversation with carers about their priorities as we look at planning and Commissioning support services for carers.

We want to find out from you what the needs and priorities are for carers in North Lincolnshire and are inviting carers and people with experience of or an interest in caring to complete the attached questionnaire.

What you tell us will help the development of the right service in the right place at the right time with the right support.

We will let people know what we have found out and what we did. To do this we will publish information on the Council’s and CCG websites and share it with our community networks.

Please share this information with your networks to help us reach as many people as possible.

You can participate in this conversation by:

  • Completing the attached Word document (DOCX, 56KB) copy of the Questionnaire and returning it to us by email nlccg.embrace@nhs.net
  • Completing a hard copy of the attached Word document (DOCX, 56KB) or PDF document (PDF, 201KB) and returning it to us by FREEPOST (no stamp required) to:

Respite Day Care Service

A charity-run hospice has launched a brand new respite day care service to give carers a much needed day off.

Lindsey Lodge Hospice’s Daybreak Service operates from its Wellbeing Centre every Monday, between 10.00am and 3.00pm, offering personalised, non-medical care for North Lincolnshire adults who are unable to be left alone for long periods of time.

Staffed by a mixture of clinical staff and volunteer ‘buddies’, service users are invited to stay for the whole day, or places are bookable by the hour.

The Hospice also offers a respite bed in its Inpatient Unit. For more information about any of the Hospice’s services please visit www.lindseylodgehospice.org.uk or phone 01724 270835.
