The Patient Participation Group (PPG) is intended to foster good relations and act as a conduit for communication between the Surgery and patients.
It is managed on a day to day basis by the Doctors, Practice Manager and staff who inform the PPG about issues of concern and practice developments. The PPG is not a place for discussion for personal issues but about issues of concern for the patients and practice. The Caldicott Group has a formal complaints procedure for dealing with personal issues but if enough patients raised concerns regarding the same issue then it could be in the remit of the PPG to seek a remedy.
The PPG needs to hear about any concerns you might have with regards to the Practice and the way it functions. You can contact a member of staff directly or write a letter addressed to the Practice Manager for the attention of the PPG.
At the moment the PPG meets quarterly on the second Thursday of the month at 11am at The Oswald Road Medical Centre. The Agenda and Minutes for each meeting are displayed on the Notice Board in the patient waiting areas.
Next meeting will be held on Thursday 13th March 24 at 11am.
