Maternal Wellbeing Support
The Maternal Wellbeing Service is 18 years+ service that supports:
- Ladies who wish to conceive
- Are pregnant
- Post-pregnancy up to their baby’s first birthday.
We are low level service (not clinical or psychological) that uses a personalised coaching approach to help ladies help themselves. Our aim is to help to reduce the progression to mental health services. We can support in the interim if they are waiting for mental health assessment or therapy.
We support with low mood, anxiety, coping with stress, unhealthy habits, loneliness and isolation, debt/ financial concerns, weight management, stop smoking services and many other wellbeing concerns. We are also trying to contribute to reduction of premature birth rates in N.E. Lincolnshire and reduce the need for escalation within Primary Care.
We are flexible and can meet clients within the community (cafes, family hubs, walk & talk) or over the phone. We are seeing quite a few ladies struggling to conceive and this is affecting their mental health. We are also seeing a lot of ladies post-partum who are struggling with transition to motherhood.
