Junior Doctors Strike Posted or Updated on 25 Jun 2024

Junior doctors will be on strike from 7am on Thursday 27 June until 7am on Tuesday 2 July.

During these strikes other doctors will still be working but there will be increased pressure on all hospital services including A&E.

As a result, we are asking that you choose services appropriately during the period of industrial action. NHS 111 either online or by phone should be the first choice for all your healthcare needs.

However, you should still use 999 in emergency situations where someone is seriously ill or injured, or their life is at risk.

GP practices are not affected by the industrial action.
